  I give 2 stars for the simple fact they have a lot of stuff in stock. The real meat and potatoes of this review comes from the experience's I have had here when shopping for equipment. Numerous times I have been treated poorly and when ask for a discount I'm told there is none available and the prices are set MSRP which is correct the only problem I have with this is I have purchased multiple items from from other dealers that always seem to find a way to work with me all while I'm spending considerable less money. I have spend over 2k in the last 9 months at this store and have yet to even get so much as a free hat. This brings me to today's incident which compelled me to write this review. The echo one day sales event is going on all over the place at certain dealers.
  I went to the dealer closest to me and spoke with the "GM" asked if he would give the echo rep a call and just ask if they would honor the 20% off since i was going to be spending 2k and needed the equipment this week for a job i have to get done. I was told no and basically laughed at for even asking. This again brings me back to I know this is possible because it has been done for me before at another dealer. The rep was real understanding and told me he would take care of it and I did receive 20% off all items purchased. But today I'm laughed at & told they will not give me the Reps phone number to speak with them myself since they wouldn't call.
  
  I can say for certain I am truly disappointed in having such a nice place that for the most part has everything in stock but such poor customer service. now I have no other choice but to travel for my outdoor power equipment needs. Buyer beware your hard earned money is just that a dollar sign in the eyes of this store.

  I have now spoke with the owner & the echo rep. I just wanted to say the owner is a very nice gentleman he was very concerned with my review and wanted to get to the bottom of it. He took the time to speak with me explain there side of the situation and I appreciate that. Long story short I will be returning to this business for my outdoor equipment needs. Thanks Doug for speaking with me.

  Nord Outdoor Power is the best choice in central Illinois, maybe the state. This is a family business that has more experience and knowledge about the products they sell than any big box store. You will be greeted and helped in a way that will exceed your expectations.

  I am very happy with the service and products at Nord Outdoor Power. Burt was very helpful without being overbearing. He was able to answer all of my questions. I was able to purchase a new lawn mower that exactly fit my needs and it was on sale. I did not feel pressured to make a purchase I was unhappy with. Burt and another employee prepared the mower, gassed it up, checked the oil, showed me how to start it, and loaded it into my car. I was able to confidently choose and purchase the mower in under 20 minutes. I would highly recommend this business. Plus, the dogs in the store were very cute and well behaved.
